Bulk Ink Systems are used to convert Epson consumer level printers, which are designed to make the manufacturer a lot of money on ink, into a system more cost effective for producing sublimated products.  Epson consumer series printers are typically set up to use small 12ml ink cartridges.  By using a bulk ink system, 90ml or 220ml ink bags can be purchased.  The system stores the ink bags in a holder outside the printer utilizing a tubing system to bring the ink into the printer itself.  By purchasing ink in larger volumes, a quantity discount is obtained, significantly reducing imaging cost.
